Operation principle of the rotor/stator shear head (patented)
The rotor/stator shear heads are integrated into the TRIQUENCE® Mixing System to deal with special problems.
They can considerably boost the dispersing and disagglomeration effect produced by the mixer. The ploughshare-like paddles on the main mixing mechanism convey ingredients to the feed-in area of the shear heads, where they are soaked in from above and below by 2 axially arranged rotor blades and then forced into the stators.
The two flows are then caught by an ejection impeller which returns the material back to the material bed through ejection apertures with milling edges.
