The TRIQUENCE®-Intensive Mixer for batch or continuous operations
This mixer is ideally suited for mixing solids of widely varying particle sizes, shapes or bulk densities as well as the addition of fluids with wide viscosity ranges in any desired proportions.
The form and arrangement of the mixing elements on the shaft, when rotating at an appropriate speed, create an intense turbulence in the material to be mixed. The mixing blades lift and propel quantities of product from the material bed. This material then falls back along intersecting trajectories distributed across the entire mixing chamber to rejoin the bulk mass. With paste mixers, the intensive movement of the good is brought about by the combination of radial and axial impulses being transported within the mixture.
Intensive movements of mixed material in all zones through optimum design of the mixing tools and the mixing drum. Minimum clearance to the wall. There is almost no unused space, even in the discharge area.
Changing recipes without any cleaning problems
The end wall of a mixing vessel is designed as a cleaning door. It is closed by a fast-action screw and an electro-mechanic locking mechanism. This allows the mixing mechanism to be removed from the shaft to be cleaned or replaced by a differently designed mixing mechanism if other mixing tasks require this. Designs are also available for operation as Pressure Reactor or Vacuum Dryer.
- Standard mixing time: 1 to 3 minutes.
- Centrifugal mixing system with Froude number between 1 and 6 improves material and heat exchange. There are no concentration or temperature gradients.
- Minimum maintenance costs. High level of environmental and occupational safety.
- Materials and surface finishes can be selected to suit specific ingredients and application.
Machine sizes
The Intensive Mixer is available in laboratory, pilot plant and production sizes with a volume ranging from 2.5 to 31,500 litres as well as special constructions for special uses.
